SAGE Publications Supports Library for Ghana Orphans

We are thrilled to report that our upcoming project to build a library for AIDS orphans in Ghana has received support from a major international publisher, SAGE. Updates

Our pace of updating this blog has slowed recently, but exciting news is on the way! We have been focusing on a site-wide redesign to help our visitors engage in our work in more ways (beyond just donating), and to feature a very special project that our bibliophile fans will love (especially students or parents of students). You can subscribe to our mailing list to be notified when the new site is online. Meanwhile, we are getting ready to launch a library project at an AIDS orphanage in Ghana, so stay tuned for details if you would like to help provide books for some very needy children.

Poetry Book Orders Matched with Donations by Publisher

Avalon Press, a publisher in the UK, is supporting our campaign to build a refugee camp library for 20,000-30,000 Darfuris by donating for every order they receive for Larry Kuechlin's book of poetry, "Along a Ruined Sea." For orders made directly through their website through February 6, Avalon Press will donate two bricks to help build the library, one in the purchaser's name and a matching brick from themselves. For poetry lovers, this could be a great opportunity to help some of the world's neediest readers. Click here to order directly from Avalon Press, or here to read more about "Along a Ruined Sea." Thanks, Avalon Press, for helping us build a library for refugees!
